It's that time of year again as The Rutland Big Christmas Market returns with a new venue and promises to be the most magical yet! Organised by two passionate mothers, Charlie Pallett and Victoria Bullett (formerly of PRINK in Oakham) who run Rutland Women in Business, founded in 2019—a local community group dedicated to championing small businesses—this year’s The Rutland Big Christmas Market has found a new home at the recently renovated Barnsdale Hotel near Oakham.
This expanded three-day extravaganza was inspired by last year’s success, where crowds made it clear that Rutland was ready for even more festive fun in 2024. The Rutland Big Christmas Market will host over 90 stalls featuring handcrafted gifts, gourmet delights and festive treats, each offering something special for that perfect Christmas gifting opportunity.
With every small business and charity stall, the market radiates Rutland’s unique community spirit—from artisan gifts to delicious local food and more. Taking place over three days from Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November 2024 this event ensures everyone has ample time to enjoy the festivities and admission tickets (booking essential) from only £3.00.
Adding to the magic, live entertainment from local favourites like the Emily Redding Dance Academy, Jazzettes, Wildcats and more to be announced! Plus, Santa Claus himself will join in on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, free with ticket entry (donations to The Lions Club of Rutland CIO appreciated).
The Rutland Big Christmas Market is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of the season, local talent and community values. With carefully curated stalls, captivating entertainment and the charm of Barnsdale, this festive experience captures everything we love about a local Christmas.
To attend, note that pre-booking is essential. Tickets can be purchased on the event website and for an exclusive treat, use the code RUTLAND10 at checkout for 10% OFF tickets.
