Where to go Pumpkin Picking in and around Rutland this October

Each year I put together a little guide of where you and your family can go pumpkin picking in the area and handpick your own pumpkins for Halloween.


There are some new locations for 2021 and all in and around the Rutland and Stamford area and some with additional Halloween themed activities to enjoy whilst you visit.


1. Launde Pumpkins at Stonelodge Farm - LE7 9DF

Daily until 24th October from 10:00 - 16:00 - No booking needed

Stonelodge Farm opens their large pumpkin field for a second year with fun for all the family offering tea, coffee, cake, soup and PYO pumpkins!


2. SCAREwell at Sacrewell Farm - PE8 6HJ

23rd to 31st October - Book tickets here

There's more than just pumpkin picking at Sacrewell. Take part in the 'Spook Hunt', dare to enter the 'Witches Lair', play on the large outdoor play area and visit the farm animals too. Don't forget to wear your best Halloween costumes too!


3. Welland Vale Garden Centre - LE15 9EU

23rd to 31st October from 9:00 - 17:00 & Sundays: 10:00 - 15:30 - - No booking needed

Take a trip to the garden centre and pick your own pumpkins! The event is free, parking is free and with every pumpkin purchase you can grab a FREE Halloween biscuit from the Orchard Cafe too.


4. Rutland Pumpkin, America Lodge, Near Brooke/Braunston, Rutland - LE15 8DF

Daily until 31st October from 10:00 - 16:00 - Book tickets here

Rutland Pumpkin patch is back with a field full of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for you to pick. You can also enjoy pizza, coffee, cake and more as well as Halloween face painting too.

5. Ketton Pumpkins - PE9 3SX

Saturdays & Sundays from 9th to 31st October from 10:00 - 16:00 - - No booking needed

Free parking, free entry, dog friendly and with prices from only £2, Ketton Pumpkin patch sounds like a fanatic local destination to visit this Halloween to pick your very own pumpkins at Holmes Farm.


6. Hill Top Farm, Chesterton, Peterborough - PE7 3UA

Daily until 31st October from 10:00 - 17:00, Sundays 10:00 - 16:00, Mondays: Closed - - No booking needed

It's pumpkin season once more at Hill Top Farm who have been growing and selling pumpkins for 25+ years. With pumpkins of all shapes and sizes and prices from £1 to £12, there's something for everyone. But it's not just pumpkins, you can pick a variety of fruit and vegetables at Hill Top Farm. Plus, enjoy free parking and the large outdoor play area. __________________________
