A few weeks ago I visited Aqua Park Rutland's press day, and last weekend it officially opened for 2017 - but this time it's bigger, lots bigger!

Aqua Park Rutland was already the largest inflatable aqua park in UK last year, but this year it's twice as big. The park features climbing walls, trampolines, balance bars, rockers, rollers and more! I took my brother and his friends along to test it out for me, while I photographed their experience of the day for the blog, so I could write this!

If you didn't already know, the Aqua Park is located on Rutland Water at Whitwell. You do need to book your slot online first, but it's super quick and easy. Slots are 50 minutes long for £20, which includes a wetsuit hire - which I think is a bargain. Trust me, 50 minutes is more than enough time to enjoy the water park, as it is more exhausting than it looks.

On the day we visited, sadly it was raining and rather dull. Whereas last year (here is the post I wrote on my old blog from 2016) it was super sunny and warm. However, panic not! Even if it's raining the park stays open, you're going to get wet anyway right?

You have to be 8+ to take part and be over 1.3m tall, and children must be accompanied by an adult and you need to bring your own towel (do not forget your towel!).
We were open to get some GoPro footage for a video for The Rutland Blogger YouTube channel, however you can only film using a GoPro (or any other camera) whilst on the park, only if you have a chest harness. So sadly I was unable to get that footage for the video, however I still filmed lots and you can watch it bellow.

Also, if you have a spare £2000 and (up to) 125 friends, you can actually hire the park out for you and your friends to enjoy for a party. How amazing would that be? If not, gift vouchers are available too!

Aqua Park Rutland opened on 27th May 2017 and is open until 24th September 2017, from then it will be closed until 2018 - enjoy it while you can, before it's too late. But if you have any question, you can contact Aqua Park Rutland via email: info@aquaparkrutland.co.uk

Here are some little tips if you're planning a visit to the park just so you don't waste your time at Aqua Park Rutland.
Aqua Park Rutland Tips:
• Arrive 45-30 minutes before your booking slot to leave enough time for wetsuit fitting, changing, safety briefing etc
• If you arrive late, you don't get 50 minutes on the park from when you arrive, its 50 minutes from the time of your booking slot. So don't be late!
• You have to wear a wetsuit, not wearing a wetsuit is not an option
• Bring a towel
• Girls, tie your hair up it'll probably help getting around the park
• You have to swim between most obstacles at the park, so bare that in mind if you're not a confident swimmer
• You have to wear a life jacket
