I’ve found the most amazing aquarium and you won’t believe where it is!
While on holiday along the Lincolnshire Coast, I decided to try out a Kids Pass trial for just £1, giving us 30 days of access to discounted attractions throughout our trip. It was through the Kids Pass App that I discovered Skegness Aquarium—and wow, what a little gem it turned out to be!
Located right on the Skegness seafront, Skegness Aquarium is a must-visit if you’re in the area. It really stood out to me for its beautifully designed exhibits and the sheer variety of sea life on display.
Stanley absolutely loved exploring all the tanks and I was thrilled to see how well-maintained everything was. The fish were so healthy and happy, which speaks volumes about the care and attention given to the animals. The staff were also incredibly passionate and knowledgeable and their enthusiasm for the aquarium truly shone through, which made the experience all the more special.
But Skegness Aquarium isn’t just a place to admire sea creatures from a distance. You can actually scuba dive there! Yes, you can swim with sharks, interact with a variety of sea life and even try diving from the age of 6. It’s all part of the partnership with Skegness Dive & Snorkelling Centre, which offers a range of diving experiences for both beginners and seasoned adventurers. From diving with tropical fish to the exhilarating experience of meeting sharks face-to-face, it’s a perfect activity for families, especially if you’ve got children who are curious about marine life. How cool is that?
The aquarium is designed with several themed areas, each focusing on different marine environments. Stanley was particularly fond of the interactive displays. The whole setup is family-friendly and if you need a break from all the excitement, there’s a café upstairs that serves hot drinks, snacks and meals—plus a soft play area where younger children can burn off some energy.
We were able to see so many fascinating and unique creatures, including leopard eels, a variety of jellyfish, the stunningly beautiful poisonous blue frogs, rays and of course, sharks. I was blown away by the variety of marine life on display.
As a fantastic bonus, your ticket to Skegness Aquarium also gives you access to Jurassic Falls—an absolute dream come true for dinosaur enthusiasts. This exciting and educational exhibit transports you back in time with lifelike, interactive dinosaur models and a fun, immersive experience. The kids can even “dig for fossils” and learn about these prehistoric giants, making it an unforgettable experience.
If you purchase tickets via Kids Pass, you can get 20% off admission! Plus, our tickets included unlimited visits within 28 days, meaning we could return as many times as we wanted during our stay and did I mention that under 3s go FREE? That's a bonus in itself!
If you're heading to the Lincolnshire Coast or Skegness, or if you’re looking for a memorable family day out, Skegness Aquarium is an absolute must-visit. It’s a wonderful, educational and fun experience for children and adults alike and it’s definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

Great post overall. I recommend checking https://operatriceolisticasoniadenotti.com/ for more details.
