Charity Sunflower Picking at The Rutland Vineyard

Charity Sunflower Weekend is here! On Saturday, 24th (11:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and Sunday, 25th August (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM), visitors can pick as many sunflowers as they like for a suggested £10 cash donation. All proceeds will go to Tom's Trust charity (www.tomstrust.org.uk), which conducts groundbreaking and meaningful work in challenging conditions, so all donations are greatly appreciated.

Another sunny week is ahead. A walk around the vineyard will reveal the red variety grapes starting to change color from green to red, a process known as veraison. The team has also been stripping leaves in the fruiting zone to ensure the grapes receive plenty of sunlight, which enhances their quality.

The vineyard is open from Wednesday to Sunday this week. Available offerings include a sharing cheese platter, sweet bakes, freshly ground coffee, and a range of delicious English wines.

The vineyard is located just outside the lovely village of Ketton on Barrowden Road, only a ten-minute drive from the A1, A47, A43, and the beautiful market town of Stamford.
